Cast and Crew

Chase Altenbern (Nathaniel, Dr. Alexander, J. T., Jerome Lewis)    Chase Altenbern is so excited to be in the original cast of Call Me Home! A Nashville native, Chase attended Montgomery Bell Academy and will be a Junior at Northwestern University, where he is the Co-Chair of the Student Theatre Coalition. He is a Theatre Major with a Business Minor and a member of the Musical Theatre Certificate Program. Past favorites include Waa-Mu 2009: One for the Books (NU), Peter Pan (NU), Nathan in Guys and Dolls (MBA), Darl in As I Lay Dying (MBA), Willard in Footloose (Harpeth Hall), and Ko-Ko in Hot Mikado (MBA). Chase would like to thank Rick and the entire Home cast and crew, his family, and his coaches.


Misty Ayres-Miranda (The House)    
Misty Ayres-Miranda is delighted to be a part of the original cast of Call Me Home.  She feels very blessed to be playing such a unique and rewarding role.  Her latest stage credits were earned with the Robertson County Players: Cherie in Bus Stop and Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.  Her lastest musical theatre credit was Sally Bowles in Cabaret, which she performed at APSU.  She now lives in Nashville with her supportive husband, Enderson, and teaches at the Nashville School of the Arts.  She would like to thank Rick, Kevin, and Rachel for this opportunity, and her Brazilian family that came to see her perform.  Manha, Silvana, Sergio, e Felipe, eu te amo.  Eu dedico isso para voces!

 

Meghan Backes (Priscilla, Young Elizabeth, Pauline)    Meghan is thrilled to be a part of the original cast of Call Me Home! A Wisconsin native, Meghan is a graduate of Vanderbilt University , where she is now working towards her Master's degree.  Her undergraduate years at Vanderbilt were spent performing with The Original Cast: Vanderbilt's Premiere Broadway Revue Troupe.  Most recently, Meghan was seen as Rosemary in Pull Tight Players' production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. A big thanks to Rick, Kevin, David and the Call Me Home cast and crew for making this such a wonderful experience!  Thanks also to her amazingly supportive family and friends for helping her discover her own path!

 

Riley Bryant (Charles, Reverend MacFadden, Herbert Elliott, Mike)     Riley Bryant is honored to be reunited with several members of the cast an crew in this premier production of Call Me Home. His past productions include playing opposite Keri in H2$and The Fantasticks, dancing with Caroline in Oh, What a Lovely War! and Bye, Bye, Birdie, emoting on Gregg's set of  The School for Wives, performing the music of Kevin in Schola Pacis, and being stage managed by Daryl in The Winter's Tale. A special thanks to his mother, Maureen, and his brother, Eli, for playing in the orchestra on this production.


Jennifer Coke (Kathleen, Jenny, Sarah, Kristina)    
Jennifer is  so excited to return to the theater after a long hiatus. Coming from a background in dance, she started performing in musicals 20 years ago directed by Rick Seay. Since then, she has performed in and worked on many  Circle players productions such as  Kiss Me Kate, Mame, Sweet Charity, and Cabaret. More recently, she has co-produced and starred in 2 short films. She is thrilled to be a part of this original musical and to work with this talented cast.

 

Gregg Colson (Josiah, Barnabus, Robert)    Gregg is delighted to be working once again with long-time friends in both the cast and the crew in this premiere production of Call Me Home. Though no stranger to song and dance, he is known more for his work backstage as an award-winning scenic designer and choreographer than for his onstage performances. Among his favorite roles are Danny Zuko in Grease, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Albert Peterson in Bye, Bye, Birdie, the Balladeer in Assassins, and most recently, Gregory Mitchell in Love! Valour! Compassion! Gregg also performs as a sopranist with the Schola Pacis, a male a cappella group in which Riley, Rick, and Kevin are all members.

 

Caroline Davis (Henrietta Marie, Alescenda, Ona)    Almost a Nashville native, Caroline Davis has performed with various local theatre groups, performing variously as an ice skater, a monkey, a Marx Brother, a shepherdess (twice) and a dead person (thrice).  Among her favorite roles are "Amanda" in Private Lives; "Sylvia" in Sylvia and in The Women; "Mrs. Erlynne" in Lady Windermere's Fan; “Rose” in Enchanted April; “Haley” in Bad Dates, and the title role of Lady Frederick. She has also sung in three Nashville Opera productions. A member of the Jane Austen Society of North America, Nashville Chapter, she is an alumna of Leadership Music.

 

Kevin Fogarty (Composer/Lyricist)    Kevin is a gifted songwriter, vocalist, and percussionist.  Both he and his wife Rachel DeVore Fogarty have composed many pieces in multiple styles for performance throughout the country.  Kevin works for BMI, Inc. in Nashville and performs as drummer and vocalist with many Nashville bands.  He is a founding member of the men’s a cappella group Schola Pacis, and more of his original compositions can be heard on the group’s website, www.scholapacis.com.  With Rick Seay, he has also written a musical about King Arthur’s youth.


Daryl Pike (Stage Manager)    Daryl has worked on numerous shows around the Nashville area.  In Gallatin, he co-wrote the original play Tennessee Roots and produced The Sound of Music, Annie, and Oliver!  In Nashville, Daryl has produced and stage managed shows with Circle Players, GroundWorks Theater and ACT 1. Some of his favorite shows are: The Sisters Rosensweig, Hair, The Elephant Man, Enchanted April, and Lady Frederick.  He has appeared on-stage in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Julius Caesar, and The Pirates of Penzance. He directed Driving Miss Daisy, Three Tall Women, and Love! Valour! Compassion! He is glad to be working with Rick again and would like to thank him for the chance to work on Call Me Home. 

Keri Pisapia (Lucinda, Anne, Old Elizabeth) Keri is thrilled to be part of the original cast of Call Me Home.  She was last seen on the stage as a variety of characters in Almost, Maine for Tennessee Women’s Theater Project.  She can be heard voicing characters for the Veggie Tales in “The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggie Tales Movie” as well as an upcoming release, “St. Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving.”  She would like to thank Rachel for playing her notes over and over with a smile and to Rick and Kevin for letting her share in this awesome experience.  


Christian Sawyer (Young Barnabus, Adam, Messenger)
        Christian is honored to participate in the premiere of this meaningful story about time and space.  Some of his favorite past roles include Charlie Brown in You're A Good Man; Cornelius Hackl in Hello, Dolly!; Peter in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; Hamlet in Fifteen Minute Hamlet; Mr. Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank; and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes.  Christian teaches Social Studies at Hillsboro High School and at Vanderbilt, where he is completing his doctorate.  Special thanks to his brother and best friend, Jonathan, and his beloved mother, father, and Tyler. Special thanks also to Pam, for her loving guidance.

 

Rick Seay (Book/Director)        Rick has directed and performed in hundreds of productions around the Nashville area, including companies such as ACT I, Circle Players, Chaffin’s Barn, and Tennessee Dance Theater.  Most recently, he directed the state winning one-act “The Insanity of Mary Girard,” which represented Tennessee at the Southeastern Theatre Conference.  A life-long educator, Rick taught at Hillwood High School for many years and was founding Head of School at East Academy .  Currently, he teaches Latin at Montgomery Bell Academy where he is also Academic Dean.
